In Short: Relaxed atmosphere that frames up top notch coffee and food in the heart of Melbourne’s hipster central of Fitzroy. Serving Code Black coffee and an eclectic menu that wows the eyes and the tongue!
There’s a coffee culture essence in every element that makes Fitzroy’s general vibe so seductive. You can feel it in the people and the spaces that lure caffeine tragics. On a world class level, its cafes cater to every slant in your coffee and café addictions. Blonde Food & Drink holds a strong presence in the best of the best that Fitzroy can muster.
Starting off, we’re not mucking about in the coffee stakes… Gotta get the Flat White to test out the Code Black bean and milk pairing. Needless to say, it’s pure silky perfection with vanilla, caramel, and chocolate notes. Chasing that with a buoyant Espresso Vegan Shake that sparkles with bright coffee highlights and a nutty base note.
Boom… there’s no ignoring the Acai Bowl that almost bounces off the table with its brilliant colours and luscious palette of enriching ingredients. The dominating dollop of wholesome peanut butter smooths out the sweet acidity of the acai that is given pop from the granola crunch.
Katsu me if you can! As diehard Japanophiles, there’s no way we’re not going to tuck into a tower of tantalising tender chook folded between pillowy soft slices and graced with kewpie mayo. Brings back so many memories of Osaka street food flavours.
With a crown of crisply tangy apple slaw, the Char Siu Pork Belly Benedict teeters on the table and explodes with golden yokey goodness. The pork belly has that beautiful crunch against a smokey backdrop that plays off the acidity of the slaw.
Blonde Food & Drink brings it and then some in the coffee and food stakes. It’s everything Fitzroy and then a little more with its friendly team that makes you feel ultra-comfortable, whether you’re sporting a hipster vibe or not.
